On Tuesday Tish and I woke up in San Francisco (okay, actually it was Castro Valley, but we were staying there because we had a few errands to run in the City and around the bay….so…forgive me) and drove to Point Reyes National Seashore for a long hike followed by a night in our new tent in Samuel P. Taylor State Park.  We left a bit late to miss commuter traffic and got to the adorable little town of Olema around 10:15 and stopped at the store to have a cup of coffee and cappuccino before getting on the trail. We oogled over their delicious-looking ice cream cones and dreamed of how great they would taste after our long hike. 40+ hours later and we have a house! (well, kinda)

I am finally done designing our tiny house on sketchup!! Yes, we counted the hours, or I should say we attempted to count them and stopped when we got to 40…sketchup is a tricky little bugger and I have developed a love/hate relationship with it. Mostly love, until I try zooming out and get stuck in the middle of a wall or piece of furniture and feel like I’m lost in purgatory for what feels like an eternity. Our First Week in Middletown

The past few days in our new space have consisted of unpacking boxes delivered by Fedex, a trip to Sacramento (Sac friends: I swear we were only there long enough to run a couple errands, go to Ikea……and eat at Sandwich Spot. I will be back soon to see all of you!!!), cleaning, treating the animals for fleas (UGH.), more unpacking and organizing, more flea treatments, and some much needed relaxation time with the family.
